Minding your business

Why do people think I'm an ad campaign? They keep asking me in e-mails and they gossip on forums, but none of them know anything about me. I'm not sure what I would be marketing (opium cigarettes maybe, or death?), but if any company out there wants to pay me for writing about my life, just let me know.

The days pass like speeding traffic here, Chloe is always tired but follows me out whenever I want to. Mother sneaks away late at nights and comes back before I wake up in the morning thinking I won't notice she was gone. I know she goes to see Frank but nothing more and I sometimes want to follow her just to find out what they talk about. 

When I was a child she never thought I understood anything, but I did. My father was different, he always talked to me as if I was an adult. "You must now one thing, angel" he said. "You must know that people will always try to hurt you, but it's not because they're evil. They do it because they care."

    1. Lots of people choose to have their memoirs published! You should look into that Avy! I think someone out there would be willing to publish your story! You should do some research on query letters! They usually don't come to you.. you have to go to them.. sell them your story! Draw them in! And you do that quite nicely! The thing I've noticed about your blog is that others may see it as a bit risque, but you actually keep it fairly clean.. that's the key, drawing the reader in, giving them just enough to go on, leaving it up to the reader's imagination! I was once told, that's what publishers are looking for! Especially in a novel, or ya novel! I'd advise you to write your book!! Do some research on query letters and send one into a publishing company, put it out there and see what happens!!

  6. Avy, you have well over 2000 followers!! People find you intriguing and your writing style is very different and unique! So inquiring minds want to know more about you.. In a way, you are a celebrity already! My God, it's a thousand wonders you're not already published!! I mean, just these blog posts alone would do the trick!! They'd sure sell!!Perhaps getting your life story published would settle their curiosity for once! Keep reaching Avy! It'll happen! Don't ever stop believing in yourself! You're an amazing writer! I've been hooked ever since the first line I ever read of yours! That's talent! Perhaps that's what you advertise.. ;)Talent in it's most purest form!

    if we'd only needed the money, right?
